• In 1994, Johnny Cash had begun the “American Recordings” series with Rick Rubin. Vol. 1 was followed two years later by Vol. 2 “Unchained”. With “American Recordings III – Solitary Man”, Johnny Cash, who was already seriously ill, presented another stroke of genius, a true folk masterpiece.
